Biography

Born 1982 in St. Gallen, Switzerland. He startet his musical career as a DJ in a Hip Hop Crew and changed to Drums at the age of 17 Years. Main influences are afroamerican styles like Hip Hop, Jazz and Soul as well as electronic and folcloric styles from all over the world.

He finished studies at the Jazzschool Lucerne in 2008, where he studied with N.Pfammatter, F. Kuratli, M. Halbheer, P. Favre and F. Studer.

Winner of the Friedl-Wald Foundation scholarship 2008.

His Drumstyle is rooted in timeplaying but inspired by every possible source of sound.

Since 2005 he teaches Drums at public Music Schools, gives private Lessons in Zürich and Biel and is playing with various groups on swiss and european stages:
